Machines that still have something to say.
Lovingly revived vintage typewriters, each one cleaned, tuned and ready to work for another lifetime.
Where Craftsmanship Finds a Second Life.
CasaTempo is an independent workshop based in Lisbon, Portugal, dedicated to writing tools, industrial light, and select vintage finds. Our collection brings together typewriters, metronomes, lamps, pottery, and other well-made objects chosen for their function, character, and quiet presence in everyday life. We honor well-made objects from the past, and pay tribute to the era when things were made to last.
Classic Olivettis: Engineered to Endure
Every machine, brought back to working order.
Each piece is disassembled, cleaned, derusted, and re-lubricated. Type bars are aligned, ribbons replaced, escapements tuned, and then we test every key, line by line.
Every listing includes a short clip of the machine in action, alongside photos taken in natural light.
What arrives at your door is a tool you can actually use, with its condition honestly photographed and described.
Not sure which typewriter suits you best?

CasaTempo was born out of a refusal to let imperfect objects be cast aside. Truthfully, these typewriters found me when I was a bit lost. Dismantling them slowly became my therapy, a quiet way to find order in chaos by bringing them back to life. Combining my engineering background with endless hours of self-taught mechanics, I realized that as I repaired the machines, they were repairing me. Hundreds of machines later, the passion remains the same: giving historic tools an equal chance to thrive in their new homes.
